Every best-known price hack Complete trip totals Ranked side by side
One trip. Every viable strategy ranked. This four-traveler September report calculated 24 combinations and found two days of Unlimited Express for about $331 more than the lowest-price plan.

How it works

Enter one trip. Let Fruglar run the strategies.

Five guided steps collect the details and current prices. Fruglar then builds every viable combination for that trip, calculates the complete totals and ranks the results without hiding a ticket, pass, room or add-on.

01

Build your trip

Add dates, travelers, park days and the hotel you would actually consider.

02

Add every relevant price

Choose admission, Epic Universe, passholders, paid Express, hotel rates and any relevant event tickets.

03

Run the price strategies

Fruglar builds the ticket, pass, hotel, paid Express, Premier stay and Ghost Room combinations that work for your trip.

04

Rank every complete result

See the lowest total, lowest Express option, easiest stay and best return-trip value side by side, with every line item visible.

Real calculator examples

Two trips. Two different best-value answers.

These screenshots use the prices entered for two planned trips. They show why Fruglar compares complete strategies instead of declaring one hotel, pass or ticket type the universal winner.

Nine-day Thanksgiving trip

The cheapest plan and the best Express plan were not the same.

8 hotel nights 3 travelers Current prices entered

The lowest total was $2,523 without Express. Adding one overlapping Royal Pacific night produced two days of Unlimited Express for the party at a $3,018 trip total. A third option put all three travelers on Annual Passes and highlighted possible value on a similar return trip.

Four-person September trip

About $331 bought two days of Unlimited Express for four people.

4 hotel nights 4 travelers 4 park days
The decision, in plain English The lowest plan was about $2,294. The lowest Express option was about $2,625 and added two eligible days of Unlimited Express for the whole party.
Compare every viable strategy together. The report keeps price, Express days, passes and Epic admission on the same screen.
The recommended Express option still shows every line item.

Examples, not quotes: Prices, inventory, pass eligibility and Express rules can change. Always replace estimates with the current prices for your dates and confirm the final reservation with Universal or your travel advisor.

The calculator separates hotel ages from ticket ages.

Adults 18+ Adult hotel guest Adult park ticket
Teens 10–17 Hotel child Adult park ticket
Children 3–9 Hotel child Child park ticket
Infants 0–2 Hotel child No park ticket added

Live APH hotel rates

Use the rate Universal actually offers.

Passholder hotel rates are dynamic and inventory-limited. Fruglar does not apply a fixed percentage to a rack rate. Instead, the calculator asks you to bring back the live APH price and crossed-out Flexible price for the same hotel, dates, room, and occupancy.

Why both prices matter

The APH price supplies the hotel cost used in the trip estimate. The comparable Flexible price measures the actual savings for that stay without pretending every date has the same discount.

What stays in the total

Using a live hotel rate does not remove the Annual Pass purchase, tickets for guests without a pass, Epic Universe, dining, transportation, or other selected costs.

Express strategy

What Fruglar means by an Express Ghost Room.

For a party keeping a value-resort room for the full trip, the calculator can add one overlapping night at Royal Pacific, Hard Rock Hotel, or Portofino Bay.

Two eligible Express days

After hotel check-in, registered guests receive Universal Express Unlimited at Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure on the Premier hotel's check-in and check-out days.

One live room cost

The Ghost Room uses one selected Premier night. Enter its live APH and Flexible prices separately from the value hotel used for the full stay.

No second parking estimate

The strategy assumes resort transportation and a one-night bag. The calculator does not add Premier parking. Epic Universe Express is not included.

Hotel check-in is required, and every Express user must be registered on the Premier room. Availability and eligibility must be confirmed with Universal.

What this calculator does not do

Fruglar is not a Universal booking engine and does not continuously pull live hotel, ticket, pass, Express, dining, or event inventory. Hotel accuracy improves only when you manually enter current Universal prices. Results are planning estimates, not a reservation, price guarantee, or promise of passholder inventory, discounts, admission, or Express access.
