What Universal announced
Universal Kids Resort will host a three-day celebration for DreamWorks Animation's new Doozie's Doghouse series from October 23 through October 25, 2026. The series, from the world of Gabby's Dollhouse, premieres on Netflix November 9.
The schedule has two distinct parts. Universal says hotel guests can attend a Doozie Pool Party from 7-10 p.m. Friday. The in-park celebration then runs from noon-6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, with most activities centered in Isle of Curiosity.
What is happening inside the park
Doozie will appear outside the Universal Kids Resort Theater in DreamWorks' TrollsFest for a temporary meet-and-greet. Universal explicitly says the character will not remain at the resort after this weekend.
The theater will also show an exclusive clip from the new series; Universal says photos and recording are not allowed. Isle of Curiosity will host Doozie-themed craft stations, dancing and interactive games. A self-guided Puppy Patch Scavenger Hunt will extend across the resort's DreamWorks-themed lands, with Play Ambassadors providing the starting point.
Cakey's Cupcakes in Isle of Curiosity will sell a Doozie's Doghouse-themed cupcake during the weekend. Universal has not published its price or quantity, so travelers should treat it as limited-time availability rather than guaranteed inventory.
How families should plan the weekend
Only the Friday pool party is expressly limited to resort hotel guests in Universal's announcement. For Saturday and Sunday, plan around the noon-6 p.m. event window and normal park admission. Universal does not publish a separate event ticket, reservation process, character appearance schedule or activity capacity in the announcement.
Families traveling mainly for the character should prioritize one of the two park days because the meet-and-greet is temporary. The Friday hotel event is not a substitute for the in-park schedule, and the Saturday-Sunday activities should not be assumed to continue after October 25.
