What Universal launched
Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas, has added an Explorer Ticket for repeat visits during a fixed fall-and-winter window. Universal currently lists the ticket at $69.99 per person plus tax.
The ticket begins on the first visit date selected at purchase and can be reused on eligible Sundays through Thursdays through March 11, 2027. It is assigned to one guest, is non-transferable and must be used by the same person on every visit. Universal requires valid photo ID.
Every excluded date in the current terms
The Explorer Ticket excludes every Friday and Saturday. It also has these product-specific blockout dates:
- December 2026: 20 and 27–30.
The park operates seasonally, so the ticket also cannot be used on these current park-wide closure dates:
- November 2026: 3–4, 10–11, 17–18 and 26.
- December 2026: 25.
- January 2027: 6–8, 11–14 and 19–31.
- February 2027: 1–11, 17–19 and 22–26.
- March 2027: 2–3.
Universal says operating hours, attractions and entertainment can change because of refurbishment, capacity, weather or special events. Recheck the live ticket page and calendar before committing to nonrefundable travel.
What the Explorer Ticket does not include
The ticket covers admission only during normal operating hours. It excludes parking, separately ticketed events, Universal Kids Resort Hotel benefits and any extra park or hotel perks. It also includes no food, beverage or merchandise discounts.
Unused admission expires after March 11, 2027. The ticket is nonrefundable and non-transferable.
Is $69.99 a good value?
For a family that can make at least two eligible visits, the headline admission math is strong. Two visits reduce the base admission cost to about $35 per person per visit before tax and parking; three visits reduce it to about $23.33.
Universal now advertises one-day tickets from $44.99 and two-day tickets from $59.99 per person, plus tax. Those are starting prices for select dates, not guaranteed quotes. The Explorer Ticket is $10 above the advertised two-day starting price, so its repeat-visit flexibility has to earn back the difference through a third eligible visit or a better fit for your dates.
For longer use, Universal currently lists the Silver Annual Pass at $129.99, Silver with Parking at $164.99 and Gold at $199.99, all per person plus tax. Compare the dates you can actually visit and your expected parking spend before paying more for a pass.
Upgrade options
Universal says a one-day or two-day General Admission Ticket can be upgraded to the Explorer Ticket at Guest Services or through the Guest Contact Center. An Explorer Ticket can be upgraded to an Annual Pass during a park visit or by contacting the Guest Contact Center up to two weeks after the Explorer Ticket expires.
Fruglar can help compare the Kids Resort hotel, day-ticket and pass lanes through Universal trip-planning help. The Orlando Hackulator does not model the Frisco ticket lineup, so do not treat its Orlando totals as a Kids Resort quote.
Fine print and verification
Fruglar verified the $69.99 price, tax treatment, access window, blockouts, park closures, exclusions and upgrade rules against Universal Kids Resort's live offer page and expanded official terms on October 16, 2026. The day-ticket comparison was refreshed on October 29 after Universal lowered its advertised starting prices.
Universal's official social post describes multiple days at one price but does not override the live terms. The live terms control, and all dates and benefits can change.
