Parking prices and availability can change. Paying does not guarantee a space after leaving and returning.

Four rules that change the real parking total

  1. Pay once for all four theme parks that day. Keep the receipt when park hopping by car.
  2. Magic Kingdom parking ends at the Transportation and Ticket Center. Guests continue by ferry or monorail, so add that transfer to the arrival plan.
  3. Disney Resort guests get standard theme-park parking. Registered guests can upgrade to preferred by paying the current $15–$25 difference.
  4. Select Annual Passholders get standard parking. Pass type, blockout rules and entry requirements still apply; verify the current pass benefit.

Courtesy trams currently operate at all four theme parks. Disability parking areas require a valid permit, and standard parking rates still apply.

Hotel parking is where comparisons go wrong

Disney Resort hotel

Registered overnight guests receive complimentary self-parking at the hotel and standard parking at the theme parks. Day-guest self-parking is complimentary while enjoying select dining, shopping, entertainment and recreation.

Partner or off-site hotel

Use the property's own overnight parking and resort fee, then add theme-park parking or transport. Swan, Dolphin and Swan Reserve currently publish $36 plus tax nightly self-parking.

Four-day comparison

A $35 parking line becomes $140 over four park days.

An off-site room must be at least $140 cheaper before it merely offsets four days of standard theme-park parking. Add the hotel's own parking, resort fee and rideshare gap before calling it the winner.

This example assumes one vehicle and four separately parked park days. One day's fee covers park hopping among the four theme parks.

Legitimate ways to spend less on parking

Use included Disney Resort transport

Disney buses, boats, monorail and Skyliner can replace both driving and standard park parking when the routes fit the itinerary.

Value a qualifying pass carefully

Standard parking can help an Annual Pass pay for itself, but count it only on days the passholder will actually visit and only if the pass already makes sense for admission.

Do not pay preferred by reflex

Preferred parking mainly reduces the walk. Courtesy trams operate at all four parks, so compare the convenience with the $15–$25 daily premium.

Keep Disney Springs separate

Standard Disney Springs parking is complimentary, but parking there is not a workaround for theme-park parking. Disney does not provide direct theme-park buses from Disney Springs.

Quick answers

Can I pay once and park hop?

Yes. Disney says one paid parking pass is good all day at all four theme parks. Keep the receipt and remember that parking remains subject to availability.

Do Disney Resort hotel guests pay at the theme parks?

No for standard parking. Registered Disney Resort hotel guests currently receive standard theme-park parking and can pay the difference for preferred parking.

Is parking free at Magic Kingdom?

No. Standard parking is $35 unless an eligible hotel stay or pass includes it. The parking lot is at the Transportation and Ticket Center, followed by a ferry or monorail trip.

Is Disney Springs parking free?

Standard self-parking is complimentary. Disney advises arriving early for dining, events and peak periods.

Is disability parking free?

No. Designated areas are available with a valid permit, but Disney says standard parking rates apply.
