Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 19, 2026 · Effective immediately
This Privacy Policy explains how Primpulsive LLC, the legal operator of Fruglar ("Fruglar," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, discloses, and retains information when you use fruglar.com, Story Studio, Story Maps, the Planner, our travel-booking services, and our Done-for-you creative services (collectively, the "Services").
1. Information We Collect
Account, contact, and payment information
- Account details: name, email address, authentication records, account preferences, and subscription status.
- Contact and inquiry details: phone number, requested destination, dates, traveler count, budget, preferences, and messages submitted through travel-quote or creative-service forms.
- Billing records: product purchased, amount, transaction status, Stripe customer and transaction identifiers, renewal date, cancellation state, refunds, and disputes. Stripe processes payment-card information; Fruglar does not receive or store complete card numbers.
Travel, Story Map, and Planner content
- Trip names, dates, destinations, routes, itinerary legs, booking notes, memories, captions, budgets, points, savings, and planning details.
- Photos, processed traveler cutouts, names, likenesses, cover images, custom character settings, uploaded audio, music selections, and playback preferences.
- Booking confirmations, itineraries, route notes, and other text you choose to submit to AI-assisted drafting tools.
- Shared album links, creative direction, requested lyrics, pronunciation notes, revision requests, and other materials supplied for Done-for-you work.
Information collected automatically
- Device, browser, operating system, approximate location derived from IP address, referring page, and diagnostic information.
- Pages viewed, features used, playback and sharing activity, checkout starts, uploads, publish actions, template copies, errors, and performance events.
- Cookies and similar technologies used for authentication, security, analytics, affiliate attribution, and remembering preferences.
2. How We Use Information
- Operate, secure, troubleshoot, personalize, and improve the Services.
- Create, store, play, publish, share, and copy Story Maps and route templates at your direction.
- Process uploads, remove photo backgrounds, create traveler cutouts, render playback, and deliver requested creative work.
- Draft itinerary details and route stops with AI assistance when you choose that feature.
- Administer subscriptions, purchases, entitlements, cancellations, refunds, disputes, and service fulfillment.
- Respond to inquiries, arrange travel, communicate about an order, and send service or marketing messages consistent with your choices.
- Measure usage, manage storage and bandwidth, prevent abuse, enforce limits, and comply with law.
3. Traveler Photos, Likenesses, and Browser-Side Processing
Story Maps may include identifiable photos and likenesses of you and other travelers. You should upload or publish a person's likeness only when you have permission to do so. If a child appears, the account holder must be the child's parent or legal guardian or have that person's authorization.
For the traveling-party feature, background removal and manual touch-up are designed to run in your browser. The processed cutout is uploaded when you save it; the original source photo is not intentionally uploaded by that feature. Fruglar does not use the feature for facial recognition, identity verification, or biometric identification.
4. AI-Assisted Features
When you use AI assist, the itinerary, booking text, route notes, or place names you submit may be sent to an AI service provider, including OpenAI, to create a draft. Do not include payment-card numbers, passport numbers, health information, or other information that is not needed to draft the trip. AI output can be incomplete or wrong, and you are expected to review it before saving or sharing it. Fruglar does not intentionally use your private Story Map content to train a public AI model.
5. Public Story Maps and Group Templates
Story Maps begin private. If you turn on sharing, anyone who obtains the public link can view the Story Map, including the route, destination photos, names, likenesses, captions, dates, and music you chose to publish. A recipient may reshare, record, or copy what they can see, and Fruglar cannot control information after another person captures it.
Turning sharing off or regenerating a link disables the old Fruglar link. If you enable a group template, another user can copy the route structure into a new private Story Map. The template is designed not to copy your photos or private planning details.
6. How We Disclose Information
We do not sell personal information for money. We disclose information as reasonably necessary to:
- Service providers: Supabase for authentication, database, and media storage; Netlify for hosting, functions, forms, and delivery; Stripe for billing; Resend for transactional email; Cloudflare for anti-abuse checks; Google Analytics for site measurement; and OpenAI for optional AI-assisted processing.
- Travel providers: airlines, cruise lines, hotels, tour operators, host agencies, or other suppliers when you ask Fruglar to research or arrange travel.
- Vocevia: after an eligible booking, the email address and booking reference needed to issue an included Vocevia Single Trip benefit. Fruglar does not send the booking itinerary into a Vocevia guide.
- Public viewers: content you intentionally publish through a Story Map link.
- Legal and safety purposes: to comply with law, enforce agreements, protect the Services, prevent fraud, or protect rights and safety.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, financing, sale, or transfer of all or part of the business, subject to appropriate protections.
7. Analytics, Affiliate Links, and Cookies
Google Analytics and Fruglar analytics help us understand traffic, feature use, and conversions. Affiliate and travel partners may set attribution cookies when you follow their links. Those providers process information under their own privacy policies. You can use browser controls to limit cookies, although some account and security features may not work correctly without them. See our Affiliate Disclosure for more information.
8. Retention and Deletion
- Accounts and Story Maps: retained while your account or Story Map remains active, until you delete the content or ask us to delete the account, subject to backups, legal obligations, fraud prevention, and unresolved transactions.
- Public content: remains available while sharing is on. Cached copies may take a reasonable period to expire after sharing is disabled.
- Done-for-you materials: retained as reasonably necessary to complete the order, provide the included proof and revision, document fulfillment, and support the customer. You may ask us to remove source materials after delivery.
- Billing and business records: retained as required for tax, accounting, dispute, security, and legal purposes.
- Analytics and security logs: retained for a period appropriate to measurement, troubleshooting, fraud prevention, and system security.
Deleting content from the live Services may not immediately remove encrypted backups or records we must retain by law. We will isolate or delete those records according to our operational retention cycle.
9. Security
We use HTTPS, access controls, row-level database security, signed or authenticated media delivery where appropriate, rate limits, anti-abuse controls, and restricted service credentials. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password and notify us promptly if you believe your account or public link has been compromised.
10. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
- Edit or delete Story Map content and turn public sharing off from the product.
- Cancel a Plus subscription through the billing portal available from the Premium page.
- Unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in the message.
- Request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal information by contacting us.
- Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable law provides that right.
We may verify your identity before completing a request. Certain information may be retained when necessary to complete transactions, prevent fraud, protect legal rights, or comply with law. Depending on where you live, you may have a right to appeal a denied privacy request or contact your state or national data-protection authority.
11. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and an account holder must be at least 18. A parent, guardian, or authorized adult may include a child in a family Story Map. If you believe a child submitted information without appropriate authorization, contact us so we can review and remove it.
12. International Use
Fruglar is operated from the United States. If you use the Services from another country, your information may be processed in the United States and other locations where our providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Services or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required. Your continued use after an update means the revised policy applies to future use.
