- Window: May 27-June 2, 2026, subject to inventory and Virgin's weekly updates.
- Lowest fare spotted: $89 per Sailor per night on the 12-night New York to San Juan sailing.
- Core product: Sail & Save is Virgin's weekly reduced-rate page for select sailings.
- Cabins: Virgin says Sail & Save is available for Lock It In Insider and Lock It In Sea Terrace cabins.
- Bar Tab: Virgin's Sail & Save FAQ says Bar Tab is not included with this offer.
- Fruglar warning: compare Sail & Save against the new balcony-upgrade and Sailor Loot paths before assuming the lowest fare wins.
Virgin Voyages' May 27-June 2 Sail & Save refresh lands at the same time as the new summer sale. That makes this week more interesting than a normal fare drop, because travelers now have two different value lanes to compare: the lowest weekly Lock It In-style pricing and the broader summer offer with 70% off the second Sailor plus balcony-upgrade pricing.
Virgin's official Sail & Save page describes the program as weekly, frequently updated reduced fares on select sailings. The page also makes two points that matter for booking strategy: eligible cabins are Lock It In Insider and Lock It In Sea Terrace, and Bar Tab is not included with the Sail & Save offer.
That means Sail & Save is not the same thing as the June Promotional Sailor Loot offer. In fact, Virgin's Sailor Loot terms exclude Lock It In and reduced-rate cabins. So if you are looking at a $89 or $99 per-person-per-night fare, do not assume it also gets onboard credit. It probably needs to be priced as a separate path.
The May 27 refresh is strongest for flexible sailors who care more about the final price than exact cabin control. Transatlantic, Panama Canal, Caribbean, and repositioning routes can be especially interesting because longer sailings let a lower nightly rate do more work. But flexibility is the price of admission. Lock It In means Virgin assigns your exact cabin later, and cancellation/change rules can be much tighter.
Our Fruglar method this week: find the cheapest Sail & Save fare, then quote the closest eligible balcony-upgrade or Sailor Loot fare. If the difference is small, take the better cabin or credit. If the difference is large, the weekly sale may still be the smarter move. The glamorous answer is "it depends." The useful answer is "let's price both before the fare wanders off."
You care about price more than picking the exact cabin location.
Virgin's Sail & Save FAQ says Bar Tab is separate from this offer.
A slightly higher selectable balcony fare may beat a restricted fare for some travelers.

These are the May 27-June 2 standouts I would price before scrolling into cruise-option soup. Every booking link below uses Lewis's First Mate tracking.
This article uses Virgin Voyages' official Sail & Save page for the weekly-sale mechanics and Virgin's promotional terms for how Sailor Loot and Lock It In interact. Fare examples link back to Virgin's booking engine through Lewis's First Mate tracking and should be rechecked live before payment.
