Universal Adds a November Fyre Drill Closure

What changed

Universal Orlando's official park-hours page now adds a two-day Fyre Drill closure at Universal Epic Universe for November 9-10, 2026. The separate January 25-February 4, 2027 window remains on the calendar.

Universal does not publish a reason or guarantee a November 11 reopening. Travelers visiting Epic Universe on either listed November date should remove Fyre Drill from the plan and recheck the live calendar before arrival.

Universal Orlando's official park-hours page now lists Jurassic Park River Adventure closed through December 16, 2026. The previous date Fruglar verified on October 1 ended November 19, so the current calendar extends the listed closure by 27 days.

Universal does not explain the change or guarantee a December 17 reopening. Treat December 16 as the current end of the published closure window and recheck the live calendar before your park day.

The page now shows ten closure windows affecting nine unique attractions, shows and dining locations across three parks. The Hogwarts Express appears under both connected parks for the same November 4 one-day closure. Travelers should plan to walk through CityWalk between the parks that day and will still need valid Park-to-Park admission to enter both parks.

Po Live at Universal Studios Florida remains listed with the open-ended wording “Starting October 3, 2026.” The calendar does not publish a reopening date or reason, so Fruglar is treating October 3 as the start of an indefinite notice, not as a one-day closure.

Finnegan's Bar & Grill and Universal Orlando's Horror Make-Up Show remain listed through the broader label “Winter 2026.” Universal has now announced the reimagined show will be called Universal Horror Make-Up Show featuring Blumhouse, but it has not published an exact reopening date.

The September 15-20 closure for The Untrainable Dragon has ended and no longer appears on the calendar. Universal has not published reopening dates more precise than “Winter 2026” for Finnegan's or the Horror Make-Up Show, and it does not explain the reason for the listed closures.

How this changes trip planning

For an Epic Universe visit on November 9 or 10, remove Fyre Drill from the itinerary rather than counting on a same-day reopening. Universal currently lists the closure through November 10 but does not promise the attraction will reopen November 11.

For a November 4 visit, do not count on the Hogwarts Express for transportation or as an attraction. If your ticket includes Park-to-Park access and you plan to visit both parks, leave extra time to exit one park, walk through CityWalk and enter the other park through its front gate.

For Universal Studios Florida visits on or after October 3, remove Po Live from the itinerary unless Universal removes or replaces the notice. Treat Finnegan's and the newly named Horror Make-Up Show featuring Blumhouse as unavailable until Universal replaces “Winter 2026” with a specific reopening date or removes those notices.

For Islands of Adventure visits through December 16, remove Jurassic Park River Adventure from the plan rather than reserving time for a ride Universal currently lists as closed.

January visitors should remove Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges from Islands of Adventure plans from January 4 through February 2 and keep Fyre Drill out of Epic Universe plans from January 25 through February 4. For Islands of Adventure trips from February 8 through 19, move Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey out of the rope-drop plan and prioritize another Hogsmeade attraction instead.

For Animal Actors, Universal's wording identifies November 3 as the permanent-closure date. Fruglar is not treating November 2 as a guaranteed final performance because Universal has not published that claim on the closure calendar.

Universal says attraction schedules can change without notice. Check the live calendar and Universal Orlando app again immediately before your park day, especially when a show or headline ride is central to the trip.
