What changed
Universal Orlando's official park-hours page now shows four additional closure notices across three parks. The most immediate is a six-day closure for The Untrainable Dragon at Epic Universe beginning September 15.
The calendar also gives travelers advance notice of two early-2027 refurbishments and labels Animal Actors On Location! as permanently closed on November 3. Universal does not explain the reason for any of these closures on the calendar.

How this changes trip planning
If your Epic Universe date falls from September 15 through 20, plan the Isle of Berk portion of the day without The Untrainable Dragon. The closure is for the live stage show; Universal's notice does not say that the entire land will close.
January visitors can keep Fyre Drill out of their Epic Universe priority list from January 25 through February 4. For Islands of Adventure trips from February 8 through 19, move Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey out of the rope-drop plan and prioritize another Hogsmeade attraction instead.
For Animal Actors, Universal's wording identifies November 3 as the permanent-closure date. Fruglar is not treating November 2 as a guaranteed final performance because Universal has not published that claim on the closure calendar.
Build flexibility into the itinerary
Universal says attraction schedules can change without notice. Check the live calendar and Universal Orlando app again immediately before your park day, especially when a show or headline ride is central to the trip.
