Fruglar Cabin Lab

Virgin Voyages cabin chooser.

Start with how you will use the room. Fruglar recommends a cabin family, compares nearby alternatives, and flags the exact-cabin details that still need a live deck-plan check.

How it works

Choose a cabin family, then verify the room.

A category name tells only part of the story. Occupancy, layout, location, terrace configuration, and accessibility inventory can vary by ship and exact cabin.

01

Set the party and goal

Enter the number of Sailors and whether price, daylight, a terrace, more room, or suite service matters most.

02

Add location preferences

Tell the chooser whether you value central access, want to reduce likely noise, are sensitive to motion, or have no strong location preference.

03

Verify exact inventory

Use the recommendation as a category shortlist. Fruglar can then check occupancy, deck position, terrace setup, and accessibility needs against a live cabin.

Cabin families

Start with the feature you will notice most.

Cabin family Good starting point for What to verify
Insider Travelers prioritizing the lowest cabin total who do not need natural light or private outdoor space. Exact occupancy, bed configuration, and deck location.
Sea View Travelers who want natural light without paying for a terrace. Window configuration, occupancy, and position on the ship.
Sea Terrace Travelers who want private outdoor space; Central can favor convenience, while Limited View can trade outlook for price. View, location, hammock or alternate seating, and the exact terrace barrier.
XL Sea Terrace Travelers who value more room and a larger bathroom while keeping a terrace. Occupancy, location, outdoor setup, and the live price difference from other terraces.
RockStar Suite Travelers seeking suite space, service, access, and an upgraded onboard experience. The specific suite layout, inclusions, location, occupancy, and fare choice.
Mega RockStar Suite Travelers prioritizing Virgin's highest suite service level and its distinct onboard benefits. The exact suite, beverage limits, included services, occupancy, and live contract terms.

Details that matter

Why the final cabin number needs a human check.

Terraces are not identical

Almost all Sea Terraces have Virgin's red hammock, but exact cabins vary. Some forward terraces use partial or full steel barriers and may have an egg chair instead of the usual setup.

Quiet is never guaranteed

A deck plan can reduce obvious risk by checking venues, elevators, service spaces, and high-traffic areas nearby. It cannot guarantee that a particular cabin will be silent.

Accessibility comes before preference

Ambulatory and fully accessible needs must be verified against live inventory and current room specifications. Some partner-library accessibility images may show an older cabin style.

What the cabin chooser does not do

The chooser does not see live cabin inventory, reserve a room, guarantee quiet, or confirm an accessible cabin. It recommends a cabin family from the answers provided. Virgin's live deck plan, occupancy rules, current specifications, and booking confirmation control.
