Virgin's September 1 deal page presents the Semi-Annual Sale as an either/or choice: select reduced Lock It In rates, or onboard credit on eligible cabins and voyages. The reduced-fare list spans selected departures from September 19, 2026 through May 2, 2027 and can change with inventory.
The onboard-credit lane applies to named departures and eligible Sea Terrace or Rockstar categories. Virgin's landing page highlights up to $100 for Sea Terrace and up to $400 for Rockstar cabins. Its detailed terms exclude Lock It In and other reduced-rate cabins from that credit lane, so do not add the credit to the $79-$99 headline fare.
Virgin also launched a broader Instant Savings offer through November 2. The discount rises with voyage length and cabin category: the $1,000 maximum requires a 14-plus-night Mega Rockstar booking; a 4-5-night Sea Terrace receives $50, for example. Instant Savings excludes Lock It In and Solo cabins, while the separate 70%-off-second-Sailor offer applies to eligible Sea Terrace, Sea View, and Insider cabins.
The Fruglar move is to price both lanes. Compare the restricted cabin's lower total against a selectable cabin with usable onboard credit, instant savings, cabin choice, and better flexibility. A large badge is not automatically the cheapest trip.
Virgin confirms the September 1-7 booking window, the select $79/$89/$99 Lock It In floors, the up-to-$400 credit lane, and the separate November 2 Instant Savings and second-Sailor deadline. Exact voyage lists, cabin inventory, pricing, and combinability remain controlled by the live result and official terms.
