Virgin Voyages has clarified the timing on My Next Virgin Voyage placeholders. Its current FAQ says the Sailor must convert the placeholder to an eligible booking within two years of purchase, but under Sail Anytime the selected voyage itself can depart later.
The October 27 onboard terms now support the booking-window reading: they say a Sailor has two years to book and that an unused placeholder expires at that mark. The current offer still uses a $150 deposit and lists a $150 fare discount plus $150 onboard credit for 4-5 nights, $200 plus $200 for 6-8 nights, or $250 plus $250 for 9 or more nights. Eligibility and combinability restrictions still apply.
Virgin's public pages are not perfectly synchronized. The post-voyage page still has a prominent “book and sail within 2 years” heading, even though its October 27 detailed terms repeatedly define a two-year booking window.
