Virgin Publishes a New Embarkation Guide

The official checklist connects app check-in, terminal timing, priority boarding, dining help, Wi-Fi, and muster in one place.

Quick take
  • Before sailing: Virgin recommends completing app check-in at least two weeks ahead.
  • Day before: the health check appears in the app 24 hours before sailing.
  • At the terminal: follow the selected arrival time; priority slots appear in the app for eligible Sailors.
  • Onboard: connect to ship Wi-Fi, use the Razzle Dazzle dining help desk if needed, and complete both muster steps.

Virgin Voyages' new official embarkation guide gives Sailors a single sequence from pre-trip app setup through the first minutes onboard. The app handles check-in, restaurant and Shore Things bookings, the pre-voyage health declaration, and priority boarding times for eligible RockStar or Priority Boarding guests.

Virgin says boarding generally begins at 2:15 p.m., but Sailors should follow their selected Terminal Arrival Time instead of arriving early. At the terminal, keep the app and passport ready, then collect the Band after check-in and security. Exact documentation and entry rules still depend on the itinerary, destination, and traveler.

Once onboard, connect to ship Wi-Fi and switch the phone to airplane mode. Virgin releases additional restaurant tables onboard and also runs an embarkation-day dining help desk at Razzle Dazzle. The muster video and station directions are available in the app and on the cabin TV. The guide also clarifies that Ship Eats orders are placed through the cabin tablet.

What changed—and what did not

Virgin published the guide on August 27. It calls the current Sailor app “new,” but the page does not say the app itself launched on August 27. Fruglar is treating this as a new practical guide, not a same-day app-release announcement.
