Virgin Voyages has given Sailors a first look at a full menu refresh for The Beach Club at Bimini. In an official September 22 video, Senior Director of Culinary Experience and Development Levi Mezick says the team is not making a small adjustment: Virgin is flipping the entire menu for a new experience inspired by Bimini and Caribbean food traditions.
The dishes shown and discussed include grilled shrimp with roasted pineapple chow; a little-gem salad with turmeric vinaigrette; chicken roti filled with curry and potato; tostones with guacamole and lime salt; beef, smoked-snapper, and garlic-eggplant patties; tamarind-marinated pork skewers; and fried plantains finished with a salted condensed-milk sauce.
Virgin also says the menu is designed to include vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. The eggplant patty uses a butter-free dough, and the tostones are one of the lighter plant-based dishes highlighted in the video.
The practical catch is timing. Virgin's description says the new menu is coming, and the video speaks about the refresh in future tense. No public launch date or complete menu has been posted, so Sailors should not assume every featured dish will be served on an upcoming Bimini call yet.
