What Universal announced
Universal Orlando is bringing a new one-day Wicked fan event to Universal CityWalk. Oztacular Spectacular runs October 24 from noon to 7 p.m. in the CityWalk Plaza area in front of the Universal Legacy Store.
Universal first detailed the event in an October 1 company release. A new Discover Universal guide published October 16 confirms that admission is free and no event ticket is required, then adds a more complete list of activities and the exact plaza location.
What is included
Universal's current guide lists these experiences:
- Three stained-glass photo backdrops inspired by Oz.
- Film prop and costume displays.
- A Yellow Brick dance floor and DJ booth with hourly programming.
- Glinda and Elphaba character meet-and-greets.
- Trivia, music, product displays and giveaways.
- Wicked singalongs and a life-sized LEGO build.
- Themed food and beverage items, plus Wicked merchandise for purchase.
Universal has not published the hourly programming schedule, character appearance times, giveaway quantities, menu, food prices or merchandise prices. Treat those elements as subject to change rather than guaranteed reservations.
Do you need a Universal park ticket?
No. Universal describes Oztacular Spectacular as a free CityWalk event and says no event ticket is required. That does not make the rest of a Universal day free: theme-park admission, food, merchandise and parking are separate.
If you are driving only for the event, check Universal's current parking rules before leaving. The official guide specifically notes that guests who need to pay for CityWalk parking can prepay before arrival.
How this changes an October 24 plan
This is easiest to add for travelers already staying at a Universal hotel or visiting CityWalk. It creates a no-admission-cost afternoon activity, but the value depends on transportation and what your group buys once there.
October 24 is also one of Universal's separately ticketed Universal Nights dates at Epic Universe. Oztacular Spectacular ends at 7 p.m., the same time Universal Nights tickets currently allow entry to Epic Universe ahead of its 9 p.m.–midnight event. That can create a full themed day, but the two events use separate locations and Universal Nights requires its own paid ticket.

Universal has not published capacity, reservation, parking-inclusion, menu-price, merchandise-price or giveaway-quantity details.
