What changed
Universal published a new official guide on October 5 and expanded the live event page with the practical details travelers need to value the ticket. Event-ticket holders may enter Epic Universe at 7 p.m., two hours before exclusive event access begins. Universal says that early window lets guests see Universal Celestial Goodnight before the after-hours event officially starts at 9 p.m.
The update also names the two unlimited snacks: berry-flavored Celestial Popcorn and crispy Kimchi Bao, both served in Celestial Park. Universal previously described the food only as complimentary specialty snacks.
The five-night schedule is unchanged from Universal's September expansion. Universal first announced October 3 and 17, then added October 24, November 6 and November 20.
What the ticket includes
Universal describes Universal Nights as a separately ticketed, limited-capacity event across all five Epic Universe worlds. The current event page says all attractions and experiences are open during the event from 9 p.m. to midnight, with character appearances throughout the park.
The included snacks are Celestial Popcorn and Kimchi Bao in Celestial Park. The popcorn is berry flavored with edible glitter. Universal describes the bao as crispy chicken in gochujang sauce with scallion-yuzu aioli and Korean slaw. A provided cup can be used for Coca-Cola Freestyle refills during the event. Other Epic Universe restaurant food remains available for purchase.
A regular daytime ticket, Annual Pass or complimentary pass does not grant event admission. Each Universal Nights ticket is valid only for the selected event date.
Passholder discounts
Universal currently advertises 10% off as many as six Universal Nights tickets per valid Annual or Seasonal Pass. During the event, Premier Passholders can receive 15% off eligible food and merchandise, while Preferred Passholders can receive 10% off.
How to decide whether it is worth it
The right comparison is the full after-hours price for your exact date and party—not the starting price alone. The ticket can provide up to five hours inside Epic Universe from the 7 p.m. entry time through midnight, but only the final three hours are exclusive event hours. Compare the checkout total with a daytime Epic Universe ticket and decide whether limited capacity, nighttime access and the included snacks and drinks justify the separate event price.
If you are already building a longer Universal trip, use the free Universal Hackulator to compare the surrounding ticket, pass, hotel and Express choices. The Hackulator does not yet model Universal Nights, so keep the event ticket as a separate line item.
Fine print and verification
Universal confirms that the event is limited capacity, occurs rain or shine, and has no rain checks, returns or refunds. Prices, dates, times, food, entertainment and experiences may change or be canceled. The $179 amount is Universal's current advertised starting price, not a quote for every date or party; tax is extra and availability is not guaranteed until purchase.
