What Universal is offering
Universal's current card page lists two welcome offers. The $99-annual-fee Universal Rewards Plus Visa Signature offers a $250 statement credit after the cardholder's first purchase within the first three billing cycles. The no-annual-fee Universal Rewards Visa Signature offers a $150 statement credit after $250 in purchases within the same three-billing-cycle window.
Both offers show an application deadline of March 2, 2027. Universal also warns that offers can vary depending on where someone applies. The terms attached to the exact application link should control your decision.
How the two cards differ
- Universal Rewards Plus: earns four points per dollar on qualifying Universal purchases, two points per dollar on travel, gas and dining, and one point per dollar elsewhere.
- Universal Rewards: earns two points per dollar on qualifying Universal purchases and one point per dollar elsewhere.
- Shared park discount: both advertise 10% off select merchandise, food and nonalcoholic beverage purchases when the discount is requested and the card is used.
- Plus-only annual ticket benefit: spending at least $6,000 during the qualification period can earn one single-day admission ticket for Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure Park-to-Park, or Universal Studios Hollywood. Universal does not list Epic Universe or Volcano Bay as choices for this benefit.
Planning impact
Start with the complete first-year cost, not the largest headline number. The Plus card's $250 credit comes with a $99 annual fee; the other card's $150 credit has no annual fee but requires $250 in purchases. Approval, your ability to pay the balance, future value and the exact application terms matter more than a one-time statement credit.

Fine print and verification
Fruglar checked Universal's public card page and Universal Orlando's live ticket page on September 22, 2026. Universal says applicants must use the linked advertisement to receive this offer and that offers may vary elsewhere. Applications are subject to approval.
Universal currently advertises six months of 0% APR on qualifying Universal purchases of at least $1,000 when the credit limit exceeds $1,000. After that period, its page lists a variable APR of 21.24%-28.24%. Carrying a balance can quickly cost more than the welcome credit. Review the issuer's Summary of Credit Terms before applying.
