Universal Adds 2026 CityWalk Holiday Event Dates

The updated calendar now lists Green & Red Coconut Club, Earl the Squirrel, Thanksgiving at Bigfire and a New Year's Eve celebration.

Quick take

What changed

Universal updated its official 2026 events guide on October 16 with a new month-by-month Universal CityWalk calendar. The additions give travelers concrete dates for four late-year experiences.

The broader Holidays at Universal Orlando season still runs November 14, 2026–January 3, 2027. Universal says that resort-wide celebration is included with a theme-park ticket or Annual Pass, subject to pass blockout dates. The new CityWalk listings are separate calendar entries, and Universal has not stated that every food, drink or venue experience is included.

The newly listed CityWalk dates

Universal's guide labels the December 31 listing as the “New Year's Eve 2027 Celebration,” meaning the event rings in 2027. The guide does not publish an event schedule, venue map, package price or capacity limit.

What the dates mean for trip planning

The most useful planning detail is the staggered start. The resort-wide holiday season begins November 14, but Green & Red Coconut Club begins November 20 and the Earl meet-and-greet begins November 21. A trip during the first holiday week should not assume those two CityWalk experiences are already operating.

For Thanksgiving or New Year's Eve, treat the calendar entry as a date alert rather than a complete booking offer. Universal has not yet published a menu, price, reservation link, hours or included-items list for the Bigfire or New Year's Eve entries in this guide. Check the official page and the Universal Orlando app again before travel.

Universal's current CityWalk policy also says guests under 18 without theme-park or separately ticketed event admission must leave at 8 p.m. unless accompanied by a parent or guardian age 21 or older, staying at a Universal hotel, holding a CityWalk restaurant reservation, or using another listed exception.

Use the free Universal Hackulator to compare hotel and park-ticket choices around the holiday dates. Keep dining, parking and separately priced experiences as their own budget lines until Universal posts complete terms.

Fine print and verification

Fruglar verified the four new calendar entries against Universal's live Discover Universal events guide and checked the resort-wide November 14–January 3 season against Universal Orlando's official holiday page. The live park-hours page supplied the current CityWalk rule for unaccompanied guests under 18.

Universal has not published hours, menus, prices, reservation requirements, capacity, venue-specific age rules or a separate admission statement for the newly listed CityWalk experiences. Dates, entertainment and operating details remain subject to change. A direct Universal link does not credit Fruglar with a booking.
