Last updated: March 2026  ·  Effective immediately

Fruglar ("we," "us," or "our") operates fruglar.com. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your personal data. By using Fruglar, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide directly

  • Email address — when you sign up for price alerts or create a free account
  • Name — optionally provided during signup or booking requests
  • Travel preferences — saved packages, price alert destinations, travel dates
  • Booking inquiry details — submitted via our "Book With Me" contact form

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, time spent (via Netlify analytics)
  • Device and browser information — browser type, operating system, referring URL
  • Cookies and tracking — affiliate tracking cookies may be set when you click partner links (see Section 4)

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and improve our travel planning tools and calculators
  • To send price drop alerts and deal notifications you've subscribed to
  • To respond to booking inquiries and provide travel agent assistance
  • To communicate updates about Fruglar features and travel deals (you can unsubscribe at any time)
  • To comply with legal obligations

3. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely via Supabase (PostgreSQL database with row-level security) and hosted on Netlify. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and limited data retention. We do not store payment card information — all payment processing is handled directly by Stripe.

4. Affiliate Links & Third-Party Cookies

Fruglar participates in affiliate programs (see our full Affiliate Disclosure). When you click affiliate links on our site, third-party partners (such as Commission Junction, Bankrate/RVMN, and travel providers) may set tracking cookies to attribute any resulting purchase to Fruglar. These cookies are controlled by third parties and subject to their own privacy policies. We do not have access to the data collected by these cookies.

5. Information Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service providers — Supabase (database), Netlify (hosting & forms), Stripe (payments) — who process data on our behalf under data processing agreements
  • Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Fruglar and its users
  • Booking facilitation — when you submit a booking request, your inquiry details are shared with the relevant travel provider as necessary to complete your booking

6. Your Rights
